Wow, this style of colors really fits SiP! I would love to see a full issue colored that way. As opposed to the a colored try years ago I am sure I would love this one. I'll even give you additional 4 weeks to finish off the issue and would be willing to pay a higher price for it. Come on... it's only a handful of issues left to try

Half the time, the covers Terry posts are red herrings and not the actual covers. The cover shown for 84 was actually a piece of art Terry sold on Ebay. Not too sure that'll actually be the cover. We'll see.

What's the background in 85? Is it just random texture?

looks like it...
guess we're going either the easy or the minimalistic way about that issue cover!

It's a sailboat!
Ah, no. Looks like a magic eye thing, but it's not according to my well trained eyes.

LOL, nice Mallrats reference there!
other than that I think they're not much to talk about. Ehrm, that is except that the art for 84 indeed is beautiful. That's what a colored issues should look like.....

Yeah, it's one of those generic Photoshop (or some other art program) textures that you can overlay onto a layer with the click of a button.
I know not all of what he posts as the covers go to print, but - is it just me - or has Terry really been lacking on the covers for the most part recently? Man, I remember when he did David's Story way back at the end of '03 and I was like "these covers are such a cop-out"! ...That's how the recent ones make me feel too. Being an art student, I can tell that - once the initial picture is done - the covers take no time. Does anyone else feel that?

i actually feel there has been a decline in the art as awhole, not just the cover. his line might be more soft and expressive, but his backgrounds used to be so... real and now you barely see them!

You know, I noticed something that irked me about the art found in issue #84 but couldn't put my finger on it. That's it!
The lack of background.
I think the facial expressions are still fantastic overall (although Nikki looks really different) and the story's still gripping but I'm missing the feeling of the rich environments.

The pic that was for 85 has been replaced with something that looks like a real cover
