How to identify first prints of Volume 1 issue 1
I was wondering how to tell first prints of this issue apart from later printings, preferably from the front and back cover, but inside would help as well. The printings with the gold logos are easy to spot but there were earlier reprints that don't have the gold logo. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Volunteer

Re: How to identify first prints of Volume 1 issue 1
Welcome back volunteer. I have a fist printing, a second printing, and a third printing of SiP#1. The easiest way to identify them is by reading the text in the indicia (that's all the legal mumbo-jumbo that is printed on the inside cover - see image below). Second and third printings will be labeled as such. The second printings can also be identified by a gray stripe on the top of the book. The stripe is not present on the first and third printings. Below is the text as it appears in a first printing SiP Vol. issue #1 comic book. Second and third printings will be indicated as such. Click image to embiggen.

Re: How many prints are there of Paradise Too?
Hi Fade2Black, I'm looking for the Paradise Too comics, but was wondering how many printings there are?

as far as I know, P'Too only had one printing of each/any issue.
I'll actually be looking to unload mine (a complete run) in the next year or so... I've decided I really have to unload a lot of comics before grad school, which is likely to involve a move out west.

Yup, the fourteen "Paradise, too!" issues were "one-run only" and then they were reprinted in two TPB titled "Drunk Ducks" and "Checking for Weirdos". See CHECKLIST for further information

Re: How to identify first prints of Volume 1 issue 1
Thanks Fade2Black. Will definitely look to the indicia. The tip about the gray strip on the 2nd print is also helpful. I assume that the indicia of the reprints don't reference the 3000 print run. Is that right? Thanks, Volunteer Fade2Black wrote: Welcome back volunteer. I have a fist printing, a second printing, and a third printing of SiP#1. Re: How to identify first prints of Volume 1 issue 1
I've had an opportunity to check. All three printings had a print run of 3,000 copies, so that figure will show up in all the indicias. The books printing (if it is a second or a third) appears right after the the text "Strangers in Parasdise #1".
Now that I have them out for comparison, I see there is an even easier way to identify them. The back cover on the first printing has an ad for a series titled "Silbuster", whereas the second and third printings both have an ad for Ninja High School.
