Thanks for that heads up! I'm going to do my best to be there.

Well how's this for a cool story?

I came on here a page or two up on the thread and mentioned I hadn't read SiP before, but I really enjoyed Echo. The consensus around the community seems to be that Echo isn't quite as good as SiP (though I think it's a phenomenal story, dunno why that opinion's held).

Well, at the panel for some reason I blurted out that I had never read SiP to the gasps of several other fans in the audience. Terry promptly gave me the first paperback book, which I've just begun reading.

I have to say, that kind of generosity and for lack of a better word niceness is really cool, and a great way to generate a fan for life. Super stoked and I will begin reading tonight :)

THAT'S AWESOME!
I take it you're at the San Diego Con? If you see Terry again, tell him Trevor from Cupertino says Hi.

Once you're done reading the book, let us know what you think of SiP,

I'll try to if I can. Tomorrow I might have to sit in the big "Hall H" line all morning because the Doctor Who panel is at 12:30 :/

Cupertinio, huh? You're like 35 minutes from me.

That's about as good excuse as any. Well, if you happen to see a really tall guy named Charlie (odds are he'll be wearing a Doctor Who trench coat and have three boys with him), tell him Trevor from Cupertino says hello.

Well if you ever find yourself near Sunnyvale, California, be sure to stop by Comics Conspiracy (especially on a Wednesday for that's when all the regulars stop by. The store owner is Ryan. He's a heck of a nice guy, in fact he'll probably be at that Doctor Who panel as well.

Didn't get a chance to go back to Terry's booth. I got in line for Hall H for the 12:30 Who at 8 am, and I was probably around the 4,000th person in line at that point. That room was about 6,500 people strong so I didn't run into a Charlie either. Would have been a crazy random happenstance if I did though!
